We have a blog with updating problems. Join the club. Yay.
Seriously, has it been almost A MONTH since I posted last?!?!?!? Well, then. That's unusual. It's just.....you know.....ugh............*whisper* school. Yeah. That thing. So.....yup.
A week ago?, I watched this program on the giant squid (could be colossal) and it was a little strange. Lemme give you the run-down....
-Fishermen catch giant squid.
-Takes hours for them to actually drag it on deck.
-They say it's like 14 ft long.
-Pro Scientist Squid Geeks gather from all over the world in anticipation.
-Takes weeks or months to get squid to scientists, so it's frozen.
-Scientists finally get squid, although it's in a cube of ice.
-They thaw the ice and get jumped by the press everywhere.
-In the meantime, they dissect another sorta big squid to practice on.
-Still thawing.
-They dissect another squid. For practice. Again.
-Finally it's thawed and they only have 4 hours to check it out before it starts to rot.
-They hurry along and look at all the interesting stuff like the squid's ginormous eyeball.
-Could be a world record eyeball.
-Finally, time's up, so they set up to preserve the squid to put it on exhibition.
-Inject formaldehyde mixture into squid to save it.
-Tons of fun right there.
-They have to get a crane to carry it over.
-Then squid goes in museum place.
-But....scientists are disappointed cause squid was 7 ft and it was female.
-Too bad, sci guys. Darn. Maybe next time.
So that was basically what I watched for about an hour. I especially loved it when the scientists saw the ice cube...they were like...oh my god, it's like sushi. Okay, they didn't say that, but they were probably thinking it. Anyways....toodles!!!
Sayonara!!!!! I'll try to post more often!
